Overview

Stamp duty is a type of tax imposed by the Department of Inland Revenue. The law dictates that for every payment that exceeds LKR 25,000 a flat rate of LKR 25 in taxes should be paid. You can calculate and deduct this tax amount automatically from your employee salaries with Humanised Payrolls.

Step 1

Go to company settings, scroll down to find “stamp duty” settings.

Step 2

Switch on the toggle. This will automatically add a stamp duty deduction where relevant as long as the toggle is switched on.
