How these calculators are kept accurate

All four tools read one rates file that we review every 1 January and 1 April against the Inland Revenue Department, EPF and ETF Board publications, and after any Gazette or circular that changes payroll. Each tool prints the rates it used and the review date. If you find a case where a result differs from your own calculation, email inquire@gethumanised.com with the inputs.

Frequently asked questions

Are these calculators free to use?

Yes. There is no sign-up and no limit. Every figure is computed in your browser; nothing you type is sent to us.

Which tax year do the calculators use?

The APIT and salary calculators use the Inland Revenue Department tables for the 2025/26 year of assessment, with a personal relief of LKR 1,800,000 a year. The rates file is reviewed every 1 January and 1 April and the review date is printed on each tool.

Can I rely on these results for filing?

They are accurate for the standard cases they describe, but they are a guide, not a filing. Lump sums, terminal benefits, non-resident employees, secondary employment and cumulative Table 5 cases need the specific IRD tables. Payroll software applies all of them automatically.
