Who builds each product
Humanised is an HR and payroll platform built in Colombo and launched in 2020 for Sri Lankan companies of 5 to 5,000 employees. Payroll with EPF, ETF, APIT and the statutory returns is the core; attendance devices, leave, digital contracts, an employee app and QuickBooks or Xero posting sit on top. Pricing is three published flat tiers with no setup fee.
MiHCM is the human capital management product of Microimage, a company whose story on mihcm.com begins in 1995. It ships as MiHCM Lite and MiHCM Enterprise, runs on Microsoft Azure, holds SOC 2 Type II, and markets three AI products (MiA ONE, SmartAssist and Syntra analytics). Its Sri Lanka page lists Dialog, NDB, Lion, Baurs, JAT, 99x and Timex Garments among customers and promises “local compliance, local language”.

Choose Humanised if…
- You want the price on the website in LKR and a free trial before you talk to sales.
- Your books are in QuickBooks or Xero and you want the payroll journal posted automatically.
- You have 5 to 5,000 staff in Sri Lanka only and want Sinhala payslips, biometric attendance, contracts and HR letters in one product with local phone support.
Choose MiHCM if…
- Your company standardises on Microsoft 365 and wants an HR assistant inside Teams with Azure single sign-on.
- You pay staff in more than one of MiHCM’s 12 countries and want one vendor for regional payroll.
- You are a large enterprise with a formal implementation project and requirements for recruitment, performance and analytics modules at that scale.
Switching from MiHCM to Humanised
We import the employee master, salary structures, year-to-date earnings and deductions, leave balances, EPF and ETF numbers and bank details from MiHCM’s Excel or CSV exports, run one pay cycle in both systems and reconcile EPF, ETF, APIT and net pay line by line, then cut over at the start of a month or on 1 April. Most migrations take two to three weeks and there is no setup fee.

Is Humanised cheaper than MiHCM for a company with 50 employees?
Humanised is LKR 25,000 a month for up to 50 employees with no setup fee. MiHCM does not publish prices, so the answer depends on the quote you receive; ask for licence, implementation and annual support separately and compare the year-one total with LKR 270,000 on the Humanised annual plan.
What is MiHCM Lite and who is it for?
MiHCM’s small-business edition, alongside MiHCM Enterprise for medium and large companies. Its scope and price are not published on mihcm.com; the vendor quotes on request.
Does MiHCM publish its pricing in Sri Lanka?
No. On 3 September 2026 neither mihcm.com nor mihcm.com/en-lk showed prices and the /pricing page returned 404. Capterra’s “USD 2 per month” is an aggregator field, not a vendor price.
Can I move my payroll history from MiHCM to Humanised mid-year?
Yes. We import year-to-date earnings, deductions and APIT so the T10 and annual statement are complete, run one cycle in parallel, and cut over at a month end. 1 April is cleaner but not required.
Which one integrates with QuickBooks and Xero?
Humanised posts the payroll journal to both. MiHCM lists integrations with “third-party systems and banking platforms” and Microsoft products; no accounting product is named on its site.
Do both handle EPF, ETF and APIT for Sri Lanka?
Yes. MiHCM’s Sri Lanka payroll page names APIT, EPF, ETF, a stamp duty report and T10. Humanised adds the C-form, R4, the annual statement and Sinhala payslips.
Which is better for a small business in Sri Lanka, Humanised or MiHCM?
