Who builds each product
Humanised is an HR and payroll platform built in Colombo and launched in 2020 for Sri Lankan companies of 5 to 5,000 employees, with payroll compliance at the core, attendance devices, leave, contracts, an employee app and QuickBooks or Xero posting, on three published flat tiers with no setup fee.
Gallery HR is the HR suite of Soft Gallery (Pvt) Ltd, with offices in Ja-Ela, Houston and Dubai. It markets 19 integrated modules for SMEs, including payroll, leave, time and attendance with geo clock-in and rosters, claims, performance (OKRs and 360°), recruitment and an employee self-service portal, states EPF, ETF and PAYE/APIT compliance, gratuity and multi-currency payroll, and names John Keells Logistics, Forever Skin Naturals and Chello Dairy among customers. Both products are Sri Lankan-built for local SMEs, so the choice is about model and fit, not nationality.

Gallery HR did not publish pricing on galleryhr.com as of 3 September 2026; ask for a written quote that separates licence, setup and support, and compare the year-one total against the Humanised column. If the aggregator figures of LKR 400–500 per employee plus a setup fee still applied, 30 staff would be roughly LKR 174,000–215,000 in year one against LKR 270,000 for Humanised, and 50 staff roughly LKR 270,000–335,000 against LKR 270,000; only a current quote can confirm that.

Attendance devices: keeping your existing hardware
If you already run fingerprint or face terminals, they come with you. Humanised connects to ZKTeco and HikVision devices as an add-on per device: punches sync to Humanised, hours, overtime, late and no-pay are computed under your shift rules, and the results flow into the pay run. Switching vendors means re-pointing the device and mapping user IDs, not replacing hardware; old logs stay on the device and in your archive. Gallery HR names geo clock-in and rosters on its solutions page; biometric brands were not named on the pages checked.
Which one should you choose?
Choose Humanised if…
- You want the price on the website, no setup fee and a trial you can start without a sales call.
- You or your accountant use QuickBooks or Xero and want payroll posted automatically.
- You want payroll, Sinhala payslips, attendance from ZKTeco or HikVision devices, leave, contracts and HR letters from one vendor with phone support in Colombo.
Choose Gallery HR if…
- You want recruitment, performance management with OKRs and 360° reviews, and claims modules bundled with HR in one suite.
- You are in the Gampaha district and value an on-site vendor near Ja-Ela for setup and training.
- You pay staff in the UAE as well as Sri Lanka and want WPS handled by the same product.

We import the employee master, salary structures, year-to-date figures, leave balances, EPF and ETF numbers, bank details and device user IDs from Gallery HR’s export, re-point your biometric terminals to Humanised (no firmware change; a network setting and a device-ID map), run one cycle in parallel with line-by-line reconciliation of EPF, ETF, APIT and net pay, and cut over at month start or 1 April. Two to three weeks is typical; no setup fee. Check your own Gallery HR agreement for notice and data-export terms.
