The best HR software in Sri Lanka depends on company size. For 5 to 300 staff, Humanised gives payroll with EPF, ETF and APIT, leave, attendance and an employee app from LKR 10,000 per month. Microimage’s HCM runs on Microsoft Azure with the MiA ONE assistant inside Teams, payroll in 12 countries and SOC 2 Type II. Its Sri Lanka payroll page names APIT, EPF, ETF, a stamp duty report and the T10, and ZKTeco devices. Prices are not published.

The cloud product of CSE-listed hSenid Business Solutions, claiming 1,700+ companies, 1.5 million users and 40+ countries. Modules cover HR, Pay, Time, Talent, Engagement, Insight and loan management; the Sri Lanka page states statutory compliance and asks for a quote.

4. Better HR — regional SaaS with a published per-user price
Better Technologies Pte. Ltd. (Singapore, founded 2019) sells one plan with every module included across nine Asian countries and a Colombo office. Its Sri Lanka page names APIT Tables 1 and 2, EPF, ETF, the EPF C-form, an ETF bank format and Form 2, plus a free trial.

Soft Gallery (Pvt) Ltd, Ja-Ela, with Houston and Dubai addresses, markets 19 integrated modules including payroll, leave, time and attendance with geo clock-in and rosters, claims, performance, recruitment and self-service, and states EPF, ETF and PAYE/APIT compliance, gratuity, multi-currency payroll and UAE WPS.

6. AccSoft — desktop payroll and HR from a Colombo accounting software house
AccSoft Solutions (Colombo 06, founded 1998) sells payroll, HR and time and attendance alongside its accounting products and QuickBooks resale. Its payroll page names EPF 8%/12%, ETF 3%, APIT per the IRD tables, the C-form, SLIPS bank files, staff loans and gratuity reports, and claims 600+ companies.

Simplebooks (Colombo, founded 2016, 4,500+ businesses claimed) is accounting software and services, not an HRIS. Its payroll page promises EPF and ETF automation, APIT, payslips, leave and a one-month free trial; OODOX adds attendance. It is on this list because it appears in most SME shortlists.

Founded in 2005 and headquartered in New Jersey with engineering in Sri Lanka, OrangeHRM sells a free open-source Starter edition and a paid Advanced edition in the cloud or on-premise. It has no payroll module (payroll is via connectors) and lists no EPF, ETF or APIT feature; version 8 added the Citra AI assistant in February 2026.

How to choose HR software in Sri Lanka: five questions to ask a vendor
- Does it file the C-form, R4 and T10 from the same data? A good answer shows you the files from a demo pay run, not a list of features.
- What is the price in LKR for my headcount, including setup? A good answer is a number on a web page or a written quote with licence, setup and support separated.
- Can my staff get payslips and apply for leave on their phone? Ask to see the app on the vendor’s own phone, in Sinhala if your staff read Sinhala.
- Which fingerprint devices and banks does it support? Names, not “all major”.
- Can I export all my data if I leave? Employees, pay history and documents, in a format another system can read.
